Princeton University is seeking a highly experienced Director of Construction to lead its capital projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of project delivery for all projects in the portfolio assigned.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.
- Oversee the performance of multiple project construction management firms and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and codes of conduct.
- Verify individual project milestones and specific goals, track progress, and implement remedial solutions as needed.
- Manage construction schedules and associated costs to achieve project completion within schedule parameters and allocated monies.
- Ensure adherence to scope, budget, and schedule for various new construction and renovation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience in project management, with experience in supervising project managers.
- Experience in managing major capital construction projects and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Office Suite, and Bluebeam Revu.
