Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and business-focused Senior Privacy Legal Advisor with expertise in global privacy, commercial law, and product guidance. This role is essential in supporting our mission to enrich travel and dining experiences.

As a Senior Privacy Legal Advisor, you will serve as a key consultant to cross-functional teams, facilitating the rollout of innovative features and solutions in travel and dining.

Your collaboration will span various departments, including Commercial, Marketing, Engineering, and Product, to implement business initiatives that have legal and privacy implications, while also shaping our privacy strategy and roadmap.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive global privacy program, ensuring alignment with senior partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to various teams, providing strategic guidance on product and privacy laws, including GDPR, CPRA, and FTC regulations.
  • Assist teams in understanding the implications of global regulations on our products and contribute to roadmap planning.
  • Provide counsel on product, privacy, and regulatory matters, establishing yourself as an authority in global privacy and data security.
  • Identify and creatively address emerging legal risks related to privacy, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review and draft complex privacy agreements and public-facing disclosures.
  • Maintain expertise in privacy and consumer protection laws affecting our products worldwide.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a minimum of 8-10 years of legal experience focused on global privacy laws, particularly in advising high-growth companies on privacy and product matters. A J.D. from a recognized law school and admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state is required. Professional certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or CIPM are strongly preferred.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong judgment, integrity, and exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
