Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to be based in our Stamford, Connecticut office. This pivotal role will oversee various legal and compliance initiatives within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

  • Oversee legal matters related to supply chain, logistics, production, and quality inquiries.
  • Provide legal guidance to international stakeholders on U.S. contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal considerations in supply chain and R&D projects.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of complex contracts, including those related to manufacturing, logistics, and IT.
  • Maintain and manage the contract library and contract management system.

Operational Support:

  • Act as the primary legal contact for operational teams.
  • Support legal topics throughout the planning, production, and distribution phases.
  • Assist with inquiries related to quality and raw materials.
  • Prepare presentations on legal topics for management as needed.

Compliance Management:

  • Oversee the company’s compliance program and collaborate with global compliance teams.
  • Train colleagues on legal and compliance policies.
  • Stay informed on legal developments affecting the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of a U.S. State Bar with the ability to practice in Connecticut.
  • 6-10 years of experience in a similar legal role within an international corporation or law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations and R&D compliance.
  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
