Tanning Representative Job Description

The Tanning Representative is a key member of our Relax and Recover team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in our tanning department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance to customers on safe tanning practices and recommend suitable UV tanning beds and spray tan options.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Develop and implement social media and community outreach strategies to promote our services.
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets through suggestive selling techniques and product knowledge.
  • Manage daily administrative tasks, including paperwork and goal tracking.
  • Ensure a clean and organized tanning facility, adhering to strict sanitation standards.
  • Effectively communicate the benefits of different tanning equipment, UV light types, and tanning lotions to customers.
  • Balance multiple tasks during peak periods, prioritizing customer needs and ensuring a seamless experience.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in retail or customer service environments.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • SmartTan certification, provided by Fitness Ventures LLC.
  • Salon management and sales experience preferred.
