About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Appliance Repair Technician to join our team at UASA. As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of appliances in customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Appliances: Accurately diagnose and repair appliances in customers' homes, including refrigerators, ovens, cooktops, washers, dryers, and microwaves.
  • Experience with Major Brands: Experience repairing major appliance brands, including LG, GE, Whirlpool, Samsung, and Frigidaire.
  • Technical Skills: Be able to get a unit into its service modes and be able to communicate with technical support from the home.
  • No Sealed Systems or Dishwashers: Due to the time it takes to repair these products, unless you are EPA certified and want to repair them.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Be able to evaluate and repair TVs in the home, too. If you can already fix TVs, that is a plus.
  • Field Service: Our techs roll from their homes and come into the shop very little. Parts are normally sent to clients directly.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Tools and Equipment: Provide your own tools.
  • Vehicle: We can provide a vehicle, but if you have one, we can discuss using it and paying mileage.
Compensation

Pay is based on your experience level and the more you repair, the more you can make after commission. Compensation: $2, $3,000.00 per month.

About the Job

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you'll work with a wide range of appliances, from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers. You'll need to be knowledgeable about large appliances, portable appliances, mechanical work, and electrical work.

You'll also deal with people, as a repair technician, you'll have to communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent customer service.

Appliance repair technicians must have skills in high mechanical aptitude, impeccable written and verbal communication skills, work adeptly with repair tools, be okay with lifting heavy machinery, and be incredibly skilled in troubleshooting problems.
