Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary

Hire Military Talent is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for safely planning and performing all operations necessary to modify, repair, and maintain complex machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and independently adjusts, repairs, and maintains mechanical systems, including some basic electrical system repairs.
  • Maintains conveyors, paint systems, and chemical processes, utilizing support as needed.
  • Performs and reports on preventative maintenance on all plant support equipment.
  • Utilizes drawings, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams to evaluate, make recommendations, and resolve problems.
  • Interprets and applies a variety of technical instructions.
  • Communicates technical issues to others and evaluates responses in a group setting.
  • Conducts equipment installation (air, gas, rigging) under the support and direction of experienced technicians.
  • Maintains a 5S compliant work area.
  • Must certify and maintain certifications to use powered industrial vehicles and overhead cranes.
  • Understands and complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of the Kubota apprenticeship program or HS Diploma/GED plus 2-5 years of maintenance manufacturing experience.
  • English language competency required.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Must certify and maintain valid certification on all powered industrial vehicles and overhead crane operations for the facility. Certifications must be achieved within 30 days of position start.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 Year degree in Maintenance Technology preferred.
  • 2-5 years of demonstrated maintenance experience in a similar environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, including relays, motors, and switches.
  • Previous powered industrial truck and overhead crane experience.
