Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary
Hire Military Talent is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for safely planning and performing all operations necessary to modify, repair, and maintain complex machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and independently adjusts, repairs, and maintains mechanical systems, including some basic electrical system repairs.
- Maintains conveyors, paint systems, and chemical processes, utilizing support as needed.
- Performs and reports on preventative maintenance on all plant support equipment.
- Utilizes drawings, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams to evaluate, make recommendations, and resolve problems.
- Interprets and applies a variety of technical instructions.
- Communicates technical issues to others and evaluates responses in a group setting.
- Conducts equipment installation (air, gas, rigging) under the support and direction of experienced technicians.
- Maintains a 5S compliant work area.
- Must certify and maintain certifications to use powered industrial vehicles and overhead cranes.
- Understands and complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the Kubota apprenticeship program or HS Diploma/GED plus 2-5 years of maintenance manufacturing experience.
- English language competency required.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
- Must certify and maintain valid certification on all powered industrial vehicles and overhead crane operations for the facility. Certifications must be achieved within 30 days of position start.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 Year degree in Maintenance Technology preferred.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated maintenance experience in a similar environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, including relays, motors, and switches.
- Previous powered industrial truck and overhead crane experience.
