Position Overview: Orthopedic Surgeon

As an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will deliver exceptional medical services to Soldiers in need of musculoskeletal treatment. Your role will involve acquiring surgical proficiency and spearheading innovative therapies, which include advanced prosthetic solutions and bone and tissue regeneration techniques. You will work alongside leading professionals within the U.S. Army Medical Department.

Selected candidates will be commissioned directly into the U.S. Army, with ranks assigned based on their experience, ranging from Captain to Lieutenant Colonel.

The military compensation structure differs from civilian salaries. For clarity, the starting annual salary for a Captain is $412,000, with additional incentives available. Notably, a $120,000 benefit for student loan repayment is exclusive to this position. It is crucial to be aware that these special incentives may vary, so timely consideration is recommended.

  • $600,000 sign-on bonus (4-year contract)
