Job Summary

The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Aid Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial aid department, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating duties related to the administration of all federal, state, and local student financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Aid Processing and Awards
    • Manage the University's student financial assistance programs, including financial aid processing and disbursement.
    • Oversee administrative, operational, and organizational functions of the office, and develop and/or recommend policies and procedures for financial aid administration.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Financial Aid Systems and Reporting
    • Perform data integration between various financial aid management systems.
    • Primary counselor point-of-contact for problem-solving student packaging errors with PowerFAIDS.
    • Lead to import ISIR data from COD and EdConnect on a daily basis.
    • Complete all required reports/audits accurately and timely.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide leadership and guidance to Financial Aid Advisors and other team members.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Financial Aid Compliance & Services, to ensure seamless financial aid operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of university financial aid experience, specifically in a financial aid processing and disbursing capacity and providing operational management.
  • At least 2 years of successful managerial experience in financial aid or student services area.
  • Strong customer service/student service skills in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to individuals with diverse capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide reporting and analysis as needed to all audiences.
  • Must have experience with the financial aid and student information systems; specifically, proficiency in systems and reporting, specifically with PowerFAIDS, Salesforce, Jenzabar, College Board, other CRMs and SIS.
