Position Summary

The Finance team oversees all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budget formulation, forecasting, and internal controls for Stream Data Centers and its subsidiaries. This team collaborates closely with the investments division to manage capital expenditures and ensure the proper handling of all capital. We aim to be agile in supporting growth while also questioning existing processes to maintain the highest standards of compliance and financial integrity. Our support spans the entire business lifecycle, from capital raising, sales, and leasing to site selection, development, design, construction, and operations. We continuously seek methods to enhance scalability and automation to sustain rapid growth.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, growth-focused environment and wish to contribute to our transformative journey. It is a crucial position responsible for overseeing comprehensive financial management and presents an opportunity to influence the financial health and strategic direction of the organization. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee both Corporate and Joint Venture (Property) Level Accounting teams throughout the financial closing process.
  • Directly manage a team of 5-8 individuals.
  • Enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure effective treasury, cash management, and cash controls are established and periodically audited.
  • Develop a systematic eliminations process to facilitate consolidations and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on tax incentives across various states.
  • Lead the transition from tax basis accounting to GAAP accounting for all corporate entities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the monthly reporting process to enhance speed, accuracy, and information delivery.
  • Manage projects to define and develop ad hoc processes that support future growth and scalability.
  • Demonstrate experience in a fast-paced startup culture and make informed decisions.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or related finance functions.
  • Proficient in GAAP Accounting, with a focus on ASC 310, 606, and 842.
  • Experience in team management and driving process enhancements.
  • Familiarity with Large Scale Project/Development Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of IRS Tax Laws.
  • Proficient in analytics tools such as Tableau, NetSuite, SQL, SAP, or Salesforce.
  • Experience managing a high volume of charges, contracts, and accounts.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with significant ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various organizational levels.
  • Commitment to accuracy and completeness in all tasks.
  • High comfort level with P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or Accounting is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation is required.
