Job Summary

Dallas College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Financial Aid Office as a Work-Study Financial Aid Assistant. This role is ideal for students who are looking to gain valuable work experience while pursuing their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the administration of federal work-study programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process and verify student employment paperwork, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Aid team to develop and implement strategies to promote student employment opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Financial Aid Director.
Requirements
  • Must be an undergraduate student awarded federal work-study funds in their financial aid package.
  • Must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards set by Dallas College.
  • Must be enrolled and certified in at least six hours (half-time) for Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  • Must not have any prior institutional balance or blocks.
  • Must have transportation to off-campus worksites.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, work-study position that requires a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 19.5 hours per week. The position may involve working in a fast-paced office environment and may require occasional travel to off-campus worksites.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $15.00 per hour. The compensation range is H07.
