Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Planning and Strategy

Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to ensure the agency's financial stability and growth.

Financial Leadership

Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other senior leaders to inform business decisions and drive organizational success.

Financial Operations

Oversee the financial operations of the agency, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and identify and mitigate financial risks to the agency.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, CEO, and other senior leaders.

Team Leadership

Lead and manage a team of financial professionals to ensure the effective delivery of financial services and support to the agency.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A Master's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and accounting, and/or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

Leadership Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity managing the finance department of a large multi-faceted organization.

Financial Management Experience

At least 3 years of financial management experience in the non-profit sector, including negotiating and managing state, federal, and private funding contracts and grants, uniform financial reporting, and 990 tax returns.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Financial Management

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Leadership and Team Management

Proven leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team of financial professionals.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
