Design Within Reach is seeking a dedicated Customer Experience Specialist to enhance our Customer Experience division. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing client service operations and providing essential support to the Customer Experience team. You will report directly to the Customer Experience Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Customer Experience Specialist, you will have the opportunity to foster relationships and achieve professional growth daily by:

  • Handling diverse customer care inquiries with professionalism, ensuring accuracy in information, grammar, and empathy.
  • Evaluating customer support needs through written communication or phone interactions, resolving issues, and providing comprehensive feedback on resolutions.
  • Rotating through various operational specialties to enhance skill sets.
  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of product offerings and company policies to efficiently address customer service requests.
  • Offering daily support to the Sales Organization, including but not limited to:
    • Managing inquiries related to tax exemption and trade discount qualifications, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
    • Addressing and resolving sales order payment discrepancies.
    • Processing return and exchange requests, ensuring all documentation is complete and customer needs are met promptly.
    • Maintaining product knowledge to effectively respond to inquiries and requests for information or parts.
    • Utilizing operational systems to provide accurate answers to the sales team.

Qualifications:

This position may be a great fit for you if you possess the following skills and attributes:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a customer service role with a strong emphasis on operational excellence.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with high accuracy.
  • Discretion in managing confidential financial and personal information.
  • Capability to handle stressful situations with thoughtfulness.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, including follow-through and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with other tools is a plus.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.
