Key Responsibilities- Conduct customer research to gather data and identify problems through user and stakeholder interviews
- Validate researched data to bring leading indicators into focus, allowing the team to analyze and synthesize valuable product options
- Iteratively hypothesize and discover new opportunities for customer needs and desires, aligning with business objectives and technical standards
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and team to prioritize and define product strategy and roadmaps
- Engage with vendors to design, develop, document, and maintain software prototypes
- Collaborate with external and internal technical peers to design and validate technical approaches and designs
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience gathering and analyzing requirements and designing software prototypes to support product development
- 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams, utilizing good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to produce research assets, such as journey maps, affinity walls, empathy maps, storyboards, and personas, to capture learning and communicate the immersive customer experience
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment with a curiosity towards new technologies and a strong desire to learn
- Understanding of design principles and tools
- Experience with business domains, such as Purchasing, MP&L, and Product Development
- High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work autonomously
