Job Description

Sonesta International Hotels seeks a highly skilled Revenue Growth Specialist to join our team in New York City. This role is responsible for optimizing revenue streams and enhancing the customer experience through the effective management of distribution channels and rate planning. Responsibilities


  • Manage the rate loading process for negotiated accounts, ensuring accurate and timely rate visibility across all distribution channels.
  • Load sales and marketing promotions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective sell strategies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting rate and content issues, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Conduct quarterly audits of the Central Reservation System (CRS), analyzing data and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the development and implementation of distribution projects and corporate initiatives, driving revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Assist with business travel sales and reservation process, ensuring seamless customer experience and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Contribute to revenue management and distribution team goals and strategies, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date on market and competitive intelligence, analyzing trends and making data-driven recommendations for revenue growth.
  • Develop and present analytical reports to Area Directors and Regional Directors, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with hotels and regional teams to complete projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategies.
  • Verify the accuracy of all reports prior to release, maintaining the highest level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Maintain technical expertise on core systems, including IdeaS, SynXis, Opera, Excel, and other relevant tools.
  • Provide support to other areas of revenue, reservations, sales, operations, and marketing as needed, driving cross-functional collaboration and revenue growth.

Technical Requirements


  • Deep understanding of reservations systems and ability to create, implement, and analyze reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of management strategies and techniques, with advanced Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Operational knowledge of GDS and third-party internet distribution, with the ability to create revenue reports for growth enhancement.

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze STR reports, Demand360 reports, Pickup Reports, and other relevant data.
  • Computer literacy, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Cognos, and the ability to learn new technology.


Experience and Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but some college and related experience will be considered.
  • At least 1 year experience in distribution, sales, or revenue management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NYC markets and trends.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Annual Compensation Range

$70,000 - $80,000
