Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level II

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level II to join our team in San Francisco, California.
Job Summary:Under the direction of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the successful candidate will prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. They will utilize efficient and safe processes to perform related technological functions, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality of patient care. Additionally, they will train and orient Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce diagnostic images.
- Prepare PET radiopharmaceuticals, calculate doses, and administer doses under the general supervision of the Physician.
- Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors, and ensure accurate calibration of equipment.
- Follow radiation safety techniques in the use and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Train and orient PET/CT Technologists.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in nuclear medicine.
- A S. degree or graduate of a JRCNMT accredited nuclear medicine program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
