We are seeking a skilled Bartender to provide exceptional Resident bar experiences at our Upscale Retirement Community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for crafting classic and innovative drinks that exceed our Residents' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our Residents and guests.
- Customer Service: Interact with Residents and guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks in a timely and friendly manner.
- Drink Recommendations: Assess Residents' needs and preferences and make recommendations on beverages they may enjoy.
- Shift Management: Work a part-time shift from 2:45pm to 7:00pm, with opportunities for additional hours.
- Commission Bonus: Earn a 20% commission bonus paid every month, with no tipping permitted in our senior living community.
- Food Handling and Service: Utilize proper food handling and food service techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our Residents.
- Drink Orders: Obtain, prepare, and serve drink orders in a friendly and timely manner.
- Resident Satisfaction: Ensure that our Residents are satisfied with their drink and bar experience.
- Knowledge of Menu: Maintain knowledge of all specials and general descriptions of all food items and explain them to Residents or guests.
- Bar Maintenance: Maintain the assigned bar area, Bistro tables, and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance, and readiness.
- Cleaning Schedules: Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Training and Orientation: Assist with the orientation and training of new bartenders.
- Safety and Loss Prevention: Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Inventory Management: Complete monthly inventory as directed by the Director of Dining Services.
- Appearance and Hygiene: Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
- Opening and Closing Checklist: Perform and complete opening and closing checklist criteria.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Resume and proven working experience as a bartender.
- Skills: Excellent knowledge in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- Attitude and Communication: Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Training Certificates: Relevant training certificates.
