Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. As a Radiology Technologist II at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort.
  • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, including angiographic systems and digital image archival systems.
  • Perform quality control procedures on equipment and initiate repairs as necessary to ensure safe usage.
  • Provide scrub assistance during procedures and aid in intervention cases, such as prepping balloons and stents.
  • Enter patient demographics and other relevant data into imaging equipment and archive images in Cardiac PACS and Radiology PACS.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of imaging techniques, protocols, and equipment functions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program, with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum one to three years of experience in specialty areas such as Pediatric Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, or Pediatric Interventional Cardiology.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, RTF, CRT, and ARRT RTR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Compensation

Salary is based on level and requirements of the role, with a minimum to midpoint range of $152,734.40 to $173,232.80 for a 1.0 FTE position.
