At Revive & Restore, we are dedicated to addressing the biodiversity crisis through innovative technologies and strategic partnerships. We are in search of a new team member to collaborate closely with the Executive Director and the science team, assisting in the cultivation of new partnerships and fundraising initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals eager to contribute significantly to wildlife conservation efforts.
Your Role:
The Executive Assistant / Development Coordinator (EA/DC) will directly support the Executive Director (ED) by managing various administrative and project-related tasks. This includes engaging with donors and prospects, conducting online research, and drafting correspondence as we expand our donor network. Additionally, the EA/DC will play a crucial role in developing and managing essential partnerships for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of materials for funding opportunities, including pitch decks and formal grant submissions, utilizing various presentation software.
- Assist in editing and formatting grant applications while ensuring thorough internal reviews to meet submission deadlines.
- Track and implement tasks to advance relationships with current and prospective partners, including corporations, non-profits, and educational institutions.
- Collaborate with the ED and Science Program Managers to prepare quarterly reports for existing funders and draft proposals for new funding opportunities.
- Prepare the ED for meetings by conducting background research and providing relevant suggestions.
- Maintain detailed donor profiles and track interaction history within the Salesforce database.
Identifying Potential Funders:
- Research and compile information on potential funders, focusing on high-net-worth individuals and family foundations.
- Create profiles for prospective donors whose interests align with our program priorities.
- Draft letters of inquiry and proposals in collaboration with the ED and Science Program Managers.
- Document interactions in Salesforce and manage follow-up actions accordingly.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage projects to ensure timely internal reviews and submission deadlines.
- Coordinate scheduling of meetings and calls for the ED and Program Managers.
- Draft follow-up communications from meetings and manage action items.
- Archive meeting notes in Salesforce.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in executive assistance and fundraising or development, preferably within a non-profit or conservation organization.
- Strong research skills and proficiency in utilizing technology for information gathering.
- Alignment with the mission and values of Revive & Restore.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage expectations and timelines effectively.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in cloud-based technologies and software applications.
- Willingness to contribute as part of a small, dynamic team.
- Interest in conservation or biotechnology is advantageous.
