Logistics Coordinator

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Dispatching Logistics Clerk to join our team in Rosemount, Apple Valley, Minneapolis, and surrounding areas. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching LTL transportation vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries and collections, and optimizing routes for maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and dispatch LTL transportation vehicles to meet customer requests and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with drivers to ensure prompt deliveries and collections, and to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Develop and refine delivery routes to minimize expenses and enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and track vehicle positions and statuses using various tracking technologies.
- Modify schedules and routes as needed to accommodate traffic, weather, and other factors that may impact delivery times.
- Ensure transparent and consistent communication with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide drivers with detailed instructions on delivery sites, safety protocols, and any special requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and other relevant information.
- Generate and submit regular reports on delivery performance and other key metrics.
- Ensure that all transportation operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.
- Perform routine safety inspections and audits of vehicles and equipment.
- Provide training and support to drivers on safety procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of product amounts and delivery confirmations.
- Identify and address transportation issues, such as vehicle failures, delays, or changes in routes.
- Implement backup plans to manage unforeseen disruptions in the delivery schedule.
- Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to synchronize delivery schedules with business requirements.
- Work with maintenance teams to ensure that vehicles are regularly serviced and kept in optimal condition.
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Excel is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required.
- Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues is critical.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
LHH Recruitment Solutions offers a competitive compensation package, including health, dental, vision, PTO, and holidays. The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
