Job Title: Dispatching Logistics Clerk

We are seeking a skilled Dispatching Logistics Clerk to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods and materials from one location to another.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and allocate transportation vehicles to meet customer delivery timelines and optimize routes.
  • Collaborate with drivers to ensure prompt deliveries and collections, and to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and refine delivery routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and track vehicle positions and statuses using various tracking technologies.
  • Modify schedules and routes as needed to accommodate changes in traffic, weather, and other factors.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery operations.
  • Provide drivers with detailed instructions and information regarding delivery sites, safety protocols, and any special requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and other relevant information.
  • Generate and submit regular reports on delivery performance and other key metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Perform routine safety inspections and audits of vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide training and support to drivers on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of product quantities and delivery confirmations.
  • Identify and address transportation issues promptly, and implement backup plans to manage disruptions to the delivery schedule.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to synchronize delivery schedules with business requirements.
  • Work with maintenance teams to ensure vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Excel is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues is essential.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
