Are you a skilled ICU Registered Nurse looking for professional advancement? At Thompson Health, we are dedicated to maintaining the high-quality healthcare experience our community expects. Our Intensive Care Unit features 12 beds, including two equipped with negative-pressure capabilities for the isolation and treatment of patients with infectious diseases.

Each of our patient rooms is designed with ample space for advanced monitoring equipment and allows for visits from family and friends, ensuring a supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the nursing process through assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for patients.
  • Providing patient education and overseeing the activities of ancillary staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid NYS registered nurse license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within one year.
  • CCRN certification is preferred.
Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN is required or a commitment to complete within five years of hire.
  • Certification in a clinical specialty or willingness to pursue when eligible.
  • Completion of a cardiac arrhythmia course or critical care course within one year of employment.
Experience:

  • A minimum of one year of medical/surgical nursing experience is required.
  • Experience in cardiac monitoring is preferred.
  • Critical care experience is also preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to unexpected situations.
  • Strong delegation skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service.
  • Reliability and flexibility are essential.
Compensation:
