Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients and ensuring their safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will:
1. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
2. Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for patients in a critical condition.
3. Educate patients and their families about health management and recovery processes.
4. Collaborate with ancillary personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A valid New York State nursing license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- ACLS certification within one year of hire.
- CCRN certification is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required or a commitment to complete within five years of appointment.
- Certification in a clinical specialty or willingness to pursue when eligible.
- Completion of a cardiac arrhythmia course or critical care course within one year of employment.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of medical/surgical nursing experience is required.
- Experience in cardiac monitoring and critical care is preferred.
- Strong prioritization and planning skills are essential.
Interpersonal Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
- Reliability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
