Key Responsibilities:
Organizes and maintains a systematic filing system for patient records, including generating record numbers, filing, and retrieving documents.

Handles incoming calls, responding to inquiries, directing callers to the appropriate personnel, or initiating a triage slip for medical personnel response.

Schedules appointments and inputs appointment details into the computerized scheduling system.
Conducts reminder calls to all patients.
Welcomes and directs patients, sales representatives, and visitors.
Registers patients by ensuring that their records are current and accurate, making necessary updates in the computer system and on patient charts.
Coordinates patient referrals through insurance and other medical offices or specialists.
Prepares all billing in the computerized system for finance processing.
Collects payments from patients and reconciles daily cash reports.
Seeks opportunities to enhance and promote quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly; gathers and analyzes information skillfully, developing alternative solutions.
Exhibits exceptional interpersonal skills; active listening is essential while remaining open to diverse ideas and exploring new approaches.
Conducts oneself with professionalism and tact, treating others with respect and consideration.

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or GED required
One-year certificate from a college or technical school with a focus on front office support for medical environments preferred

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a front desk or customer service-related field is required
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
