We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Specialist to join our team at AMR in Santa Clara County.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality emergency medical care and patient support while collaborating with various healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities include assessing emergency situations, utilizing advanced medical equipment, and managing paramedic team operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
Requirements:
  • A High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A State Paramedic License
  • A State Driver's License
  • An Ambulance Driver's License
  • A Medical Examiners Card
  • CPR Card Only Accepted by American Heart Association BLS OR American Red Cross Adult, Child and Infant CPR with an AED.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
  • A Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience preferably in healthcare
Benefits:

At AMR, we offer competitive pay ranging from $36.73 to $53.10 per hour based on a 12-hour shift. We also provide sign-on bonuses and offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, vision, dental, 401k, disability, FSA, HSA, EAP, vacation and paid time off. Additionally, we sponsor education and provide tuition reimbursement opportunities. Our estimated annual salary is approximately $74,955-$110,108.
