Job Description

This full-time role (40 hours/week) involves performing venipuncture and other clinical support services to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. You will utilize high-quality standards to collect and process specimens while providing personalized and calming interactions with patients. Additionally, you will assist with extended scope duties such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including but not limited to:
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Continue to care for members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

An active phlebotomy certification to practice in CAAt least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environmentProficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneouslyExperience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused careSalary and Benefits
