Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Receivable Specialist with proficiency in Sage and QuickBooks to enhance our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust accounting and financial oversight capabilities, coupled with a proven track record of effective client engagement. Our organization is pioneering advancements in construction service area protocols, offering an exciting opportunity for the right individual to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop budgets, financial projections, and analyze variances
  • Assess billing to ensure consistency with executed agreements
  • Create invoices for various entities providing similar offerings
  • Generate weekly and monthly billing summaries
  • Administer accounts, follow up with clients regarding payments, and accurately issue statements
  • Timely and accurately process incoming payments
  • Review and authorize vendor/subcontractor invoices for prompt client billing
  • Collaborate with the audit team to monitor all billable expenses
  • Handle client requisitions and subcontractor payments with precision and timeliness
  • Align client billings and subcontractor payments with project timelines while ensuring accurate job cost documentation
  • Prepare and circulate monthly financial reports and project summaries
  • Facilitate month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Guarantee accuracy and quality control of financial transactions and reporting
  • Oversee project-specific accounting, including AP, AR, GL, WIP scheduling/reporting, and P&L management
  • Establish and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

Experience in the construction sector is beneficial

A minimum of three (3) years in a staff accountant capacity

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Sage, and QuickBooks

Strong analytical skills in resolving intricate accounting challenges
