* Position *REQUIRES *availability Monday - Friday (2pm-10:30pm) with flexibility to transition to (10am-6:30pm), weekend shift if needed Saturday or Sunday (8:30am-5pm)

*Job Description*

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Orlin & Cohen team as an MRI Receptionist. We have Full-time positions that requires nights and weekend availability. Great opportunity for individuals looking for a career in administration or imaging.

*Candidate responsibilities include:*
* Checks-in patients, collects and posts payment for services rendered
* Answers, screens, and directs telephone calls
* Greet and discharge patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
* Obtains, verifies, and updates demographic and insurance information
* Obtains copies of patient's insurance cards, Photo ID, and HIPAA forms in EMR
* Schedule and managing MRI appointments with appropriate documents necessary
* Interview patient and maintain patient screening forms – upload and scan
* Obtain authorizations and insurance verification for services as needed, advise patients of any amounts due
* Daily batch reconciliation
* Schedule follow up appointments with ordering provider as needed
* Provide final reports to various sources – ordering Physician, insurance, billing department
* Provide outstanding customer service and assistance to patients
* Maintain excellent communication with technologist and patients regarding wait times or physician delays.
* Conduct a thorough and detailed audit of incoming orders, assuring that both the order and clinical information matches the exam and authorization and informing physician and/or Medical Assistant when correction is needed.
* Screening every patient to verify safety using MRI manufacturer guidelines including but not limited to Gauss/Cm, magnet strength, placement, and duration of all implants.
* Obtaining all implant information and contacting manufacturer when needed to ensure patient safety before scheduling MRI and importing all documents obtained for MRI clearance as per safety guidelines.
* Ensure prior diagnostic testing clearance is obtained, including X-rays and/or proper bloodwork/GFR and required documentation including operative notes are scanned into patient’s chart.

*Required experience and Qualifications:*
* High School Diploma or equivalent GED
* 1+ year experience in a medical office setting preferred
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
