Patient Access Services Representative

We are looking for a candidate to strengthen and grow their reception career with our Physical Therapy department by joining our Patient Access Services Team
*Full Time Opportunity*
*The following schedule is REQUIRED for the position *
* *Monday - Thursday (10am-6:30pm), Friday (9am-5:30pm)*
* _*In person position - Lynbrook location*_
*\*Trainees welcome*
*\*\*Medical office experience preferred, PT medical office experience is a strong plus*
*Responsibilities:*
* Heavy phone work
* Efficiently answer patient inquiries by providing general information, scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling their appointments, etc. via phone
* Document all accounts, update patient demographics, and create medical records
* Ability to build rapport with patients
* Must maintain a high level of professionalism and quality customer service
* Coordinate with the team working through a checklist calling patients to schedule appointments across all Long Island rehab locations.
*Qualifications:*
* HS Diploma /GED Required; College Degree Preferred
* Previous experience in customer service and/or a call center is *required*.
* Healthcare background is a strong plus
* Interest or background in Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation is a plus
* Bilingual Spanish (Preferred not required)
* Ability to prioritize, multitask, and management time effectively
* Must be reliable and dependable
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced and growing environment
* Must have a positive, welcoming, and a professional demeanor
* Ability to work within a team and independently
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
*Dress Code:*
* *Navy blue scrubs REQUIRED (business casual attire permitted during training period - approx. 3 weeks)*
_\*\* three weeks of paid in-person call center training, will be provided before starting on our phones.\*\*_
