PrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system dedicated to providing mental healthcare for all. We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join our team in an inpatient hospital setting, working every other weekend.

The Health Unit Coordinator serves as a resource for unit nursing staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with care coordination, providing information, and securing assistance. This role is responsible for performing coordinating functions accurately and efficiently, greeting patients and visitors, and maintaining unit information sources.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and telephone skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma is required, with a Health Unit Coordinator/Medical Secretary Certificate or two-year degree preferred.
