H-E-B operates over 280 pharmacies across Texas, employing a dedicated team of over 800 pharmacists while ensuring a 6:1 technician support ratio.

What are your responsibilities?

Customer Service / Patient Care:
  • Deliver and exemplify superior customer service; collaborate closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy care representatives to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Encourage and implement 'Greet, Ask, and Thank' strategies along with H-E-B telephone protocols; direct calls to the appropriate partner.
  • Receive written prescriptions from customers; verify demographic and profile-related information; process written prescriptions and refill requests into the RXEVO system.
  • Generate and manage prescription-related paperwork; maintain organized filing in the Will-Call area.
  • Utilize RXEVO at the point of sale (POS) system; ensure procedures are adhered to for delivering prescriptions accurately.
  • Guide customers to the counseling window for pharmacist consultations.
  • Handle customer transactions at the register and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all prescription deliveries are completed and documented appropriately.
  • Assist technicians and pharmacists to ensure efficient production during shifts.
  • Participate in events such as flu shot scheduling and medication therapy management.

Inventory Management:
  • Receive and verify OTC inventory deliveries for accuracy.
  • Organize OTC inventory into designated stocking sections.
  • Comply with Return to Stock SOP for locating prescriptions.
  • Maintain proper stock levels of caps, vials, and bags.
  • Record temperature logs for refrigeration units.

Compliance / Sanitation:
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect personal health information (PHI).
  • Follow TSBP rules and H-E-B SOPs for patient counseling.
  • Ensure compliance with SOP for processing transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

What is your background?
  • Minimum age of 18 (mandatory).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in retail; pharmacy experience is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completion of all required training and certifications.
