Job Description

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager to oversee the development, management, operation, and maintenance of our ARC Family Thrift Stores. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating net revenues to support our ARC Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase store revenue and profitability.
    • Oversee the forecasting and setting of product acquisition, production, and sales goals for each store.
    • Coordinate with the Director of Operations and Production Supervisor to ensure prompt scheduled deliveries to all stores.
    • Act as level 1 support for the Point of Sales program used in stores.
  • Financial Management
    • Work with the Director of Operations to create and manage all store budgets.
    • Ensure that income and expenses are within budget parameters.
    • Review monthly budget reports to identify areas of success or concern.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, interview, recommend for hire, train, and supervise all Store Managers.
    • Oversee the recruitment process for store staffing and ensure that stores are sufficiently staffed.
    • Support and develop managers as they provide leadership to the rest of the store staff.
  • Program Development
    • Work with the ARC Director for Rehabilitative Services to assign, supervise, and train beneficiaries to stores to maximize work therapy goals.
    • Support the success of beneficiaries in the stores.
  • Property and Equipment
    • Oversee property maintenance for stores, coordinating with the Director of Operations and Maintenance teams.
    • Ensure that stores comply with all OSHA and Salvation Army safety and security policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education
    • An associate's degree in business administration, retail sales, or marketing is preferred.
    • 2 years of experience in staff management and development or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications
    • A valid driver's license.
    • Able to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army.
    • Safe From Harm Trainer.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel.
    • Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to problem-solve.
    • Good people development and management skills.
Working Conditions

The work environment for this position is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather. May stand for extended periods. Full-time position; will require some weekend and evening work.
