We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Director to join our team at the Community Health Center of Franklin County Inc.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, exempt position that oversees the dental department, ensuring high-quality patient care and leading clinical staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in supervising dental providers, and knowledge of rural healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Clinical Staff: Supervise and evaluate dental provider staff, providing guidance on quality assurance, utilization, and peer review processes.
  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care (50%) and ensure timely and effective treatment.
  • Clinical Competency: Assess and maintain the clinical competency of dental department providers.
  • Mentorship: Mentor new providers and recent graduates to develop their skills and support their growth.
  • Department Operations: Oversee departmental initiatives, develop policies, and manage finances.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead the Quality and Risk Management program, including quarterly dental providers meetings.
  • Collaboration: Partner with primary care, behavioral health, and partner organizations to develop integrated models.
  • Productivity Goals: Maintain accountability for department financial sustainability and communicate productivity goals to dental providers.
  • Hiring: Direct the hiring of clinical dental department staff in coordination with HR and the Dental Clinical Manager.

The Community Health Center of Franklin County Inc. is a respected organization dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to our community. We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Education: DMD, DDS, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Five years of post-license practice experience; supervisory and/or managerial experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and knowledge of rural healthcare services.
