Position Summary

This role is pivotal in delivering support to management and staff, ensuring that all retail operations align with company standards. The Team Lead will oversee the daily functions of the dispensary while addressing the needs of patients and customers. Collaborating with the Store Manager, this position is tasked with recruiting and nurturing a team of enthusiastic individuals who are knowledgeable about cannabis and adhere to state and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all leadership functions and operations of a licensed medical marijuana dispensary.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all patients while mentoring team members.
  • Foster a respectful environment among team members and report findings to management.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure accurate inventory of cannabis products.
  • Supervise the activities of patient advocate staff.
  • Update procedures in-store to enhance best practices for staff and patients.
  • Train dispensary staff to ensure consistent performance and comprehensive knowledge of company protocols and cannabis products.
  • Capture key performance indicators effectively.
  • Manage daily financial reporting and oversee cash handling processes.
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules for patient advocates.
  • Communicate any patient incidents or high-risk complaints to the Operations Director or Compliance team.
  • Safeguard patient rights by managing the employee HIPAA education program and ensuring confidentiality of protected health information.
  • Oversee patient education and counseling initiatives, continuously revising information related to medical cannabis products.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strive for high levels of patient satisfaction and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Ensure product traceability from reception to sale.
  • Receive and verify inventory upon shipment arrival.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrate high energy, customer focus, and a proactive approach.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass a Level 2 Background Check (FBI).

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent communication with patients regarding medical conditions and product offerings.
  • Regular operation of computer/POS systems and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to remain stationary during patient check-ins and register operations.
  • Capability to observe and assess patient entry via cameras and inspect IDs.
  • Frequent communication with staff via communication devices.
  • Constant movement and transportation of dispensary products weighing up to 30 lbs.
