Job Title: Student Finance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Finance Director to join our team at IEC CORP GROUP. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction for our Student Financial Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of 1-5 employees in the Student Financial Services Department.
  • Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Train, develop, and manage the Student Financial Services department and representatives.
  • Administer the Title IV program and ensure compliance with Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional guidelines.
  • Monitor student financial assistance processes to ensure timely disbursements of federal funds.
  • Advise students on financial aid needs and options.
  • Review student files to ensure accurate funding.
  • Coordinate training for Student Financial Services Department staff.
  • Assist with entrance and exit loan counseling.
  • Interact with outside agencies, including the US DOE, State, Accrediting Agency, lenders, and guaranty agencies.
  • Maintain electronic data entry, retrieval, and reconciliation of all financial aid funds.
  • Responsible for accounts receivable and bad debt management.
  • Oversee the coordination and completion of required reporting and department quality control activities.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or comparable work experience required.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a financial aid department of an accredited college or university with direct responsibility for advising on or awarding of Title IV activities or programs.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State loan and grant programs.
  • Experience with work-study, scholarship, and campus-based funding programs.
  • Experience completing Return to Title IV calculations.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with all departments involved in the student enrollment process.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience developing and managing department budgets.
  • Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
