Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Cashier/Front End Associate to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Deliver friendly and attentive customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockrooms, and customer areas.
  • Sales Support: Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and making sales recommendations.
  • Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining inventory levels, and reporting inventory discrepancies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals, maintain store standards, and support special events and promotions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Customer Service Experience: 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail or sales.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive and supportive attitude.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, sales goals, and store conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail Experience: 1+ year of experience in a retail or sales environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a retail or sales environment.
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, marketing, or communications.
