Residential Support Specialist

Overview
D.I.C.E Residential Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with transportation and accompany individuals to appointments, community outings, or overnight outings as planned
- Implement individualized care plans (IISP) and document progress and observations using electronic medical records and medication administration records
Requirements
- Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or experience in home care, nursing homes, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dementia and mental health care is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with special needs
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Work Schedule
- 12 hour shift
- Morning shift 7AM-7PM
- Rotating weekends every other weekend

- Reliable and on time to employment
Experience and Certifications
- Caregiving: 1 year or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities desired
- Driver's License (Required)
- NAR, HCA or CNA (required or has applied for with DOH-Dept of Health)
- 75hr Certification
- Nurse Delegation Certification
- CPR/First Aide
- Blood Borne Pathogens
- Orientation and Safety Certification
Work Location
In person at the clients' residences within the Tri Cities
