About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused HVAC Counter Sales and Service Associate to join our team at G-A-P Supply Corp Johnstone Portland. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in selecting products, providing product information, and answering technical questions.
  • Process sales orders, handle customer returns, and manage warranties in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, greet regulars by name, and maintain a clean and organized showroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth operation at the counter and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in the HVAC/R industry preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, adapt to changing customer needs, and prioritize duties to ensure prompt and effective service.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and other relevant technology.
