PeopleSoft Administrator Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations: Administer the PeopleSoft system for daily financial operations and maintenance processes.
  • System Configuration: Update system configurations based on changing business requirements, including adjusting stores, departments, and accounts, and ensuring the appropriate application of allocations, reports, and group structures.
  • System Maintenance: Responsible for system maintenance to ensure all programs are properly updated, identify and resolve system problems, and work closely with IT to report and resolve system issues and make recommendations regarding improvements in the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of output.
  • Financial Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain financial reports for General Ledger and Tax entities using nVision and PeopleTools.
  • Report Distribution: Ensure that monthly nVision reports are run and distributed to store personnel.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot discrepancies with PeopleSoft reports, identify and resolve system problems by working closely with IT Application Support team, and make recommendations regarding improvements in the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of output.
  • System Support: Provide full support with UAT and go-live during upgrades and maintenance, support system internal and external audits, and Identity Management (IDM) attestation.
  • IT Collaboration: Participate in IT monthly prioritization meetings regarding system ticket requests and enhancements, work with Finance System Analyst and IT Application Support team in monitoring interface of sales audit, payroll, and AP into general ledger.
  • Documentation: Develop system user guide to document procedures and update changes periodically.

Requirements:

  • Communication: Maintain communication with company personnel external and internal to the department to facilitate information between accounting and operations and to ensure understanding and control of accounting issues and/or transactions.
  • Collaboration: Work with IT Application Support team on PeopleSoft user acceptance testing, pilot, updates, and validation.
