**Job Summary**

The Production Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of production staff to achieve excellence in quality, delivery, and performance to budget. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving process improvements, leveraging talent, and prioritizing employee development.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Use data and other inputs to identify, prioritize, and deliver on business and customer needs

* Allocate and lead resources in the production area based on production schedule and standards

* Be responsible for managing cost performance for the unit/team supported

* Anticipate line down or machine issues and partner with support staff to avoid delays to production

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals

* Identify and lead cost reduction initiatives to deliver on financial projections

* Collect various metrics and compile to forecast business needs

* Attend daily meetings and communicate business results/metrics clearly at all levels of the operations business

* Fill in for Operations Manager as needed

* Evaluate employee performance through various means, such as talent reviews and common annual reviews, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures, with guidance

* Provide developmental coaching and guidance to team members in the areas of performance management, communication, and adhering to company policies

* Be responsible for the recruitment and hiring of talent

* Be responsible for managing labor through OT approval and timecard management

* Achieve employee engagement by being responsible and accountable for actions promoting an environment that fosters personal growth and development

* Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the support of business and process improvements, including but not limited to 6S, lean manufacturing initiatives, etc.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree highly preferred; or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of equivalent experience will be considered, in addition to the requirement below

* 4 years of proven leadership experience in manufacturing or operations, required

* Experience working with ERP/MRP systems highly preferred
