As a key member of our maintenance operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction programs for assigned portfolios, ensuring seamless execution of our maintenance program, and driving efficiency and excellence in all aspects of maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the Residential Service Team, Community Managers, and Regional/District Managers to achieve performance goals and maintain Morguard company policies and culture.
  • Recruit and build a proactive maintenance team to perform and grow within Morguard.
  • Oversee and assist with capital projects and budget preparation for assigned portfolios.
  • Support portfolio procurement needs, make recommendations based on portfolio audits, and lead the procurement process.
  • Support growth initiatives by undertaking property due diligence activities as assigned.
  • Develop and monitor preventative maintenance schedules and inspections for assigned portfolios.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new Lead Service Technicians within the assigned portfolio.
Requirements:
  • Five (5+) years of construction, project management, or property management experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local Fair Housing laws.
  • 50% travel is required.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other construction trades is preferred.
  • A college degree in construction management, business, or engineering is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is necessary.
  • Experience in Yardi Voyager and Entrata is preferred.
