Position Overview:

As a Medical Assistant, you will deliver essential clinical support to patients within the physician practice, working under the supervision of a physician. Your role is vital in ensuring continuity and quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate or learn to operate essential medical equipment, including Pulse Oximeters, Ear Syringes, Cryosurgery Instruments, EKG machines, Nebulizers, and Portable Oxygen tanks. Provide age-appropriate care to patients.

2. Demonstrate proficiency with Electronic Health Records.

3. Phlebotomy skills are required.

4. Operate basic laboratory equipment, perform tests, and document results accurately.

5. Obtain prior authorization for medications, tests, and procedures.

6. Stay informed about the current vaccine schedule as designated by the CDC.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.

Certification: Medical Assistant certification is mandatory. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Prior experience in an ob/gyn office or clinic is preferred.
