Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients and healthcare team members. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities- Providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Setting up, testing, and operating hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
- Obtaining and documenting necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
- Evaluating vascular access pre-treatment and performing vascular access cannulation.
- Monitoring patients' response to dialysis therapy.
- Reporting any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor.
- Entering all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility (preferred but not required).
- Continued employment is dependent on successful completion of the Fresenius Medical Care dialysis training program and successful completion of CPR certification.
- A comprehensive training program to ensure your success in this role.
- A supportive and collaborative work environment.
