Behavioral Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at St. John's Episcopal Hospital. As a member of our Behavioral Health Department, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care to our vulnerable population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual interactions and group facilitation under the direction of the RN, utilizing trauma-informed and patient-centered approaches.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations.
- Conduct patient and visitor searches as required.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to promote a culture of safety and treatment excellence.
- Associate's degree in Social Services or a related field, or 60 college credits.
- At least 6 months of experience in nursing, behavioral health, or customer service.
- Current certification in Heart Saver/CPR BLS according to American Heart Association standards.
- Completion of training in Preventing & Managing Crisis Situations (PMCS).
