We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at St. John's Episcopal Hospital. As a member of our Behavioral Health Department, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care to our vulnerable population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed patient care under the direction of the RN, including individual interactions and group facilitation.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to manage crisis situations.
- Conduct patient and visitor searches as needed.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to promote a culture of safety and treatment excellence.
- Associates Degree in Social Services or a health-related field, or 60 college credits.
- At least 6 months of experience in Nursing or Behavioral Health, or Customer Service experience.
- Current certification in Heart Saver/CPR BLS according to the American Heart Association Standards.
- Completion of training in Preventing & Managing Crisis Situations (PMCS).
