Job Summary

We are seeking 18 AmeriCorps Summer Bridge Coaches to join our team at College Possible Texas. As a Summer Bridge Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our students and helping them navigate the college transition process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct college transition counseling and support to students, including assistance with freshman orientation, course registration, and financial aid/FAFSA issues.
  • Assist College Possible Texas staff and leadership team with program design improvement.
  • Represent the organization to school personnel, professional organizations, educators, funders, and the public.
  • Ensure program compliance with administrative policies and procedures, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Organize and maintain up-to-date files; coordinate and maintain database and spreadsheet files, producing frequent reports.
  • Update and monitor College Possible Texas' online social networking sites; respond frequently.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma; successful past participation in the College Possible Texas program; a track record of actively pursuing a baccalaureate degree from an accredited, academically recognized four-year college or university; two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills: English/Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
