Job Title: Filler Operator

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a skilled Filler Operator to join our team in the Village of West Jefferson, OH.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure safe work practices, policies, and procedures are followed, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
  2. Operate, clean, and perform preventive maintenance on filler machines, troubleshooting issues as needed.
  3. Follow SSOP's and SOP's for Production/Sanitation, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  4. Proactively plan and lead changeover activities for fillers and date coding, ensuring effective communication with supervisors.
  5. Monitor and optimize line efficiency, minimizing packaging and product losses.
  6. Meet daily production goals (KPI's) for the Filler area.
  7. Maintain active communication with Pasteurizer operators and Packaging department for efficient operations.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
  9. Conduct quality checks, record downtime events, and utilize Redzone for timely documentation.
  10. Handle cleaning agents properly, wearing required PPE, and operate motorized material handling equipment.
  11. Alert supervisors to major mechanical problems and report system abnormalities to prevent damage.
  12. Resupply chemical drums and jugs as needed, managing inventory consumptions or creation in the inventory management system.
  13. Test and monitor chemical titrations to ensure in-spec cleaning.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience operating machinery, handling GMP's, and product specifications.
  • SPC (weight control) experience.
