As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine and scheduled maintenance on mobile equipment, monitoring inventory of equipment and maintenance supplies, and communicating with management on down times, breakdowns, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on mobile equipment, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Monitor inventory of equipment and maintenance supplies, and order replacements as needed
  • Communicate with management on down times, breakdowns, and scheduling
  • Manage the need for outsourced repairs, when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with other team members
  • Secure proper tooling and make necessary arrangements
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and clean appearance to the shop and surrounding areas
  • Work safely and follow necessary protocol
  • Attend necessary trainings and/or meetings when scheduled
  • Perform other duties as required to maintain an overall smooth and efficient operation

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Mechanic or trade school experience, a plus
  • 3-5 years of off-road / yellow iron equipment maintenance experience
  • Ability to disassemble and assemble engines, transmissions, differentials, etc., as well as build hydraulic cylinders and motors
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to work independently or as a team
  • Safety knowledge and mindset
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – preferred (or the ability and willingness to obtain)
