A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TAX SERVICES ASSOCIATE

As a member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for preparing income tax returns for various entities, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, not-for-profit organizations, and retirement plans. You will collaborate closely with partners and team members, engaging directly with clients across diverse industries. Your responsibilities will include preparing payroll tax and sales tax returns, as well as conducting tax planning projections. You will assess and document federal and state income tax obligations for tax filings, extensions, and estimated payments. Additionally, you will perform research on complex tax matters and respond to client inquiries and notices from tax authorities. Staying current with evolving accounting practices and tax legislation will be essential, and all tasks will be executed while maintaining the confidentiality of our firm and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TAX SERVICES ASSOCIATE

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Currently pursuing or have completed CPA licensure requirements
  • Previous tax internship experience is advantageous
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
