Your Responsibilities as a Tax Accounting Specialist:

  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, not-for-profit entities, and retirement plans.
  • Support junior accountants with general tax return inquiries.
  • Engage directly with clients across various sectors.
  • Prepare payroll and sales tax returns.
  • Conduct tax planning projections and analyses.
  • Calculate and document federal and state income tax obligations for returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
  • Research technical tax matters.
  • Address client questions and notices from tax authorities.
  • Keep abreast of current accounting practices and tax law changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Previous tax internship experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, with a solid understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficiency in tax preparation, research, and planning software
  • Able to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Detail-oriented with effective time management abilities
  • Capable of working independently with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
