KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect essential information from prospective patients, referral sources, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive data gathering.
- Respond to inquiries regarding our services, enrollment procedures, and insurance options.
- Manage and organize incoming referrals and necessary documentation efficiently.
- Provide clear explanations of the admissions process to patients and their support networks.
- Convey referral requirements and admission standards to community partners and individuals seeking assistance.
- Input patient data into customer relationship management software.
- Engage with patients to follow up on outstanding items needed for referrals.
- Request medical records for patients pursuing treatment services.
- Support patients throughout the enrollment journey and inform them of alternative resources.
- Conduct preliminary screenings for potential patients.
- Coordinate outreach efforts through calls, texts, and emails to engage prospective patients.
- Field inquiries regarding our services and assist patients in accessing care across all levels.
- Help patients obtain resources such as transportation assistance and community support services.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies both in-person and via phone.
- Communicate effectively with potential patients and referral sources through phone and email.
- Collaborate with staff from various departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide backup support for daily admissions tasks, including processing drug screens and scheduling intakes.
- Coordinate with residential staff regarding patient arrivals and assist in preparing accommodations as needed.
- Monitor data related to priority and high-risk groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience or knowledge in the behavioral health sector.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic understanding of substance use disorders is highly preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in assigned meetings.
- Engage in special projects and other duties as required.
- Maintain an organized filing system.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
- This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Verification of sobriety as per relevant standards.
- Approval from background checks.
- Successful completion of a drug test upon hiring.
- Documentation of a negative Tuberculin test or evidence of non-communicability.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- This role typically operates in an office setting.
